When faced with something that sits outside your culture’s worldview, you can either adjust your mental model, get curious and interact with it, or shut down and pretend it never happened.
I’m glad I chose to open up to the experience. Great learning and transformation are valuable rewards, and empowerment is the greatest of all. You learn to drop parts of your culture’s worldview that don’t work for you anymore. To realise you consciously decide how to perceive reality – your life – is a cherished gift.
My experiences couldn’t have happened according to the standard Western worldview. Much in the same way a person 200 years ago would have laughed at the idea of man landing on the moon, our current-day society laughs at people who have been touched by this phenomenon.
This is a subject that’s viewed with derision by Western society. Whatever the ultimate reality of the phenomenon, the fact is people are experiencing these traumatic events that generate huge levels of anxiety and fear. They struggle to come to terms with this experience, not least because they are alienated from society.
Let’s learn and evolve, not point and laugh.
I’m talking about contact. Contact with non human intelligence, though that doesn’t necessarily mean contact with extraterrestrials from our physical universe – I suspect we’re dealing with something beyond the edges of our physical perception, through other levels of reality, other dimensions. Certainly, concepts from the cutting edge of physics are seeping into the mainstream, and these ideas are expanding our theories of where non human intelligence could exist.
Life – consciousness – is not all about bags of meat living in the slow vibrational rate of existence we call the physical universe.
